Smokefree England!!

Starting from 1 July 2007, England is banning everyone from smoking in public places. For more detailed information, you could read here. Hooray...!! Finally, England is following Scotland, Wales and Ireland footsteps. Phew...o^_^o. So, watch out smokers if you're caught smoking in a banned area you could be fined £50. You wouldn't want that would you?

I'm not a smoker, but can I call myself a non-smoker? I hope I can. Naahh..I don't think so because some how or rather you are exposed to the smoke from a burning cigarette, pipe or cigar plus to add pain in a butt you are also inhaling the smoke exhaled by a smoker..errgh..euww... Cruel isn't it but I just hate the smell, smoke or anything associated with it. Not to mentioned, the risks they put upon us. Of course I do have relatives and friends that smoke but so long so they don't smoke near me (I won't be near them either) I wouldn't mind.

Usually, I would cover my mouth and nose with my hand if there is any smoker nearby. When I was younger, I always thought that it would be rude if I cover my mouth and nose when someone smoke..hehe I don't know why..?!! Somehow, I feel they would feel offended. Quirky...isn't it..haha..then again that's how I felt... NOW?!! Huh..NO WAY!! I'm the one who should be offended because they are putting MY health at risks. It's not good you know..itchy eyes, sore throat, possibly cancer (Nauzubillah, God forbid).

Well I do hope this newly impose law would slowly stop people from smoking. I know nothing about smoking addiction so I won't go into that... But, I do hope my dear relatives and friends would take care of their own health and their love ones. God only gives you one chance to live, so live life healthily.

Huff puff..huff puff...
Eerkk..what's that smell...
Huff puff..huff puff...
Eerkk..I've got itchy eyes...
Huff puff..huff puff...
Just go away...
Don't want to be part of it...
Owh..it's a dreadful tune...

UK Summer Sale - Shopping Spree

Wow..UK summer sale is definitely here!! To name a few...

GAP Sale
Oasis Sale
Dorothy Perkins Sale
Silcox Son & Wicks Sale

Yesterday, B and I went to Silcox Son & Wicks. Thought of buying ourselves a double seater leather sofa, a coffee table and a mirror. Why not, right? Normally that leather sofa would cost you £1199, sale price = £99. The coffee table would cost you £300-£400, sale price = £10. While the mirrors (come in different sizes) usually would cost you around £60-£200, sale price = £19. Silcox & Son also have beautiful cushions, throws, carpets, beds..you name it. These products are not of second quality of some sort but first quality!!

B and I wouldn't normally wake early in the morning to go shopping frenzy... But in that occasion, we couldn't resist..we were shoppers maniac..hehe... Call us cheapskate or whatever but we call it good bargains tee-hee ^_^. The shop opened at 9 o'clock in the morning but we came around 9.20 a.m. Thought we were early, but we're wrong... Mind you other shoppers camp out in front of the shop the night before. My..my..hahaha... We have to wait for an hour just to enter the shop. Back of our mind, we know we've lost our sofa, coffee table and mirror..sob..sob... Yups, pretty much everything was sold..hehe... We just managed to get hold of a mirror and a throw... Not bad aye, for first timer..hehehe... But, hey..we still have winter sale...!! Yeay..!! o^_^o

Kerching...
Is it a happy melody...
Kerching..kerching...
Is it a sorrowful tune...
Kerching...
Choose what you want...
Be it sad or merry...
You decide...
Kerching...

Happy Father's Day (UK)

Papa & Bapak, Happy Father's Day...

Papa dearest,

I love you so much. I couldn't ask for a better father because you are the greatest dad ever. Thank you for being such an amazing Papa. I hope you are bless with great health, warmth and wealth. Be proud of yourself Papa because I'm proud of you.

This song fairly describes me and my dad’s relationship while I was growing up till now. Enjoy. @};--‘---

Ron Brown - Dear Loving* Dad

Who can fix my broken bike?
Whose strong hands can hold me tight?
When I need someone to make things right,
It’s my loving Dad.

Who does things that help me grow?
Who shows me so I will know?
When I need someone to catch or throw,
It’s my dear loving Dad.

Dads come in all shapes and sizes,
Big or small, short or tall,
Someday I hope that I will be,
Half as great as he.

Who helps me know right from wrong?
Who works hard all day long?
When I need someone to sing along,
It’s my dear loving Dad.

Dads come in all shapes and sizes,
Big or small, short or tall,
Someday I hope that I will be,
Half as great as he.

At night before I go to sleep,
I thank the god** for giving me,
The greatest man in history,
It’s my dear loving Dad.
It’s my dear loving Dad.
It’s my dear loving Dad.

I could see your smile...
I could see your strength...
I could see your courage...
I could see your kindness...
Flowing trough my vein...
Endlessly...
Let it be...
I'm part of you too...
A slice of your happy tune...

* loving = old
** god = stars
*** Special thanks to Rob Brown for his wonderful song & lyrics
**** I have edited a few words from the lyrics to suit my liking.
